Our experience of Movement and skill acquisition is often limited by an overly ambitious use of effort. This ‘extra’ often shows up as excess tension, blocked or limited movement patterns, pain and injury, or simply the inability to access the skills we are interested in. By better understanding both where movement is originated from (Movement Quality) and how to shift into, or open up to, the transmission of that movement (Somatic Movement) we are able to bring an improvement to the movement and skill through awareness.
